Tupac Shakur's Estate Has Authorized A Compelted Novel That Includes Letters, Poetry, and Short Stories By The Legendary Rapper
Amaru Entertainment (The foundation of Tupac Shakur's Estate) has authorized a completed novel that shares an intimate side of the slain rapper. This book documents Tupac's thoughts and words during a period of his 1995 incarceration and reveals a captivating story. The Author, Angela Ardis, completed the story which is slated for release under the title, "Inside a Thug's Heart", May 2004, by Kensington Press.
"One of the latest novels in the series of Tupac material, "Holler if You Hear Me" went to press twice selling 80,000 copies within the first month. Booksellers note that books by or about Tupac have an avid audience. Temi Dada, Owner of Tunde Dada House of Africa in Orange, N.J., said Tupac's books sell extremely well, better than other books on hip-hop culture." *
It was noted that Angela's intent for writing the book was to show a more gentle side of Tupac, instead of the hostile African American male he is often portrayed as. The author stated, "I realized that Tupac bestowed upon me a very special part of himself. I can only hope that people will recognize and embrace this book as the gift it is intended to be." Portions of the proceeds from, Inside a Thug's Heart will be donated to the foundation to help realize the goals expressed by his family and the author.
Angela Ardis, born in Detroit and raised in Grand Rapids Michigan, has been writing since the age of seven. Although acting and modeling has been her trade of choice, she never extinguished her original passion for writing. With this novel being her freshman effort as a published writer, her contract shows great promise for long-term success by placing her additional projects in a similar position.
